The Government of West Bengal has declared a complete lockdown in the state for today, tomorrow and on 29th July to fight the spread of COVID-19.
During the lockdown, all government and private offices, commercial establishments, public and private transport as well as activities except emergency services will be barred.
The East Coast Railway (ECoR) today asked the train passengers going to West Bengal on July 23, 25 and 29 to take necessary steps in view of the suspension of public and private transport services due to complete lockdown. Presently two special trains originating from the East Coast Railway i.e., 02074 (Bhubaneswar-Howrah) Special Express and 02202 ( Bhubaneswar-Sealdah) Special Express running to West Bengal on the above-mentioned dates.
Also, 02246 (Yesvantpur-Howrah) Special and 02704 (Secunderabad- Howrah) Special Train are passing through East Coast Railway jurisdiction to West Bengal.
Passengers planning to travel by these trains have been asked to prepare accordingly.

The movement of individuals will be strictly prohibited between 10 pm to 5 am during the 3-day lockdown except for essential and emergency activities, as per the government orders.
