Starting from 26th September, Hong Kong has completely removed hotel quarantine for incoming travellers. During the surveillance period, travellers will be allowed to go out but entry to certain venues, bars and restaurants will be restricted to them.

Passengers no longer need to present a Nucleic Acid Test report before boarding their flights. They, however, still need to take a Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) within 24 hours of departure and submit the report on the Health & Quarantine Information Declaration platform.

A “Test and Go” arrangement has been implemented at the Hong Kong International Airport, wherein the passengers can leave the premises right after the Nucleic Acid Test. They don’t have to wait for the results at the airport.

Travellers will have to take Nucleic Acid Tests on Days 2, 4 and 6 of arrival in the city. The day they arrive will be counted as Day 0. They also have to undergo RATs daily from Day 1 to Day 7.

Non-Hong Kong residents aged 12 and above will still have to be fully-vaccinated or obtain a medical exemption certificate before boarding their flight. This requirement has been lifted for Hong Kong residents.
