Himachal to Restart Inter-State Buses from THIS Date; 3 More States Increase Bus Routes

As lockdown restrictions ease all over the country due to the steady dip in COVID cases, several states have also restarted public buses, albeit with all safety precautions and necessary measures in place.

Today’s update is on bus services from four states: Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh.

Here are the details:

1. Himachal Pradesh to restart inter-state bus services

In line with the relaxed travel restrictions for the state, the Himachal Pradesh government has decided to restart inter-state buses, including Volvo buses, from July 1

Himachal has already ended the RT-PCR requirement for entering the state, and starting from July 1, e-pass will also not be mandatory for visitors.

The resumption of state bus services along with the eased travel guidelines are surely going to delight travellers!

2. Rajasthan restarts luxury intra-state buses

The Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation, popularly known as the RSRTC, has resumed super luxury and air conditioned services on a few routes within the state. Check the routes below:

As per media reports, the RSRTC is also planning to restart buses between Rajasthan, Delhi and Haryana from July. 

3. Karnataka resumes bus services to Maharashtra

The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has restarted its bus services to Maharashtra from yesterday, July 25, with 50 percent seating capacity.


The bus services will resume from Bengaluru, Shivamogga, Mangaluru and other places of the state to Mumbai, Pune, Miraj, Solapur, Pandharpur and Tuljapur in Maharashtra:

4. Andhra Pradesh restarts buses to Telangana

The Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) has restarted as many as 120 bus services to the neighbouring state of Telangana from this week. The decision, which was announced by the APSRTC on Twitter, comes after the state government provided increased the daily curfew relaxation timings from 6 am to 6 pm:
