The Indian Railways is planning to resume operations for 200 trains from June 1.
These trains include popular ones such as Durontos, Sampark Krantis, Jan Shatabdis, Poorva Express and more.

Passengers planning to book these trains must know these 5 important reservation rules:
1. The advance reservation period (ARP) on these trains is a maximum of 30 days.
2. RAC and Waitlist will be generated as per existing rules. However, waiting list ticket holders shall not be permitted to board the train.
3. Unreserved tickets (UTS) will not be issued. Moreover, no tickets will be issued to any passenger during the journey.
4. Tatkal and premium tatkal booking is not allowed in these trains.
5. First chart will be prepared at least 4 hours before the scheduled departure of the train and the second chart will be prepared at least 2 hours (unlike the present practice of 30 minutes) before the scheduled departure of the train. Only online current booking shall be permitted in between first and second chart preparation.
Here are the cancellation and refund rules:
Along with existing railway cancellation rules, if during screening a passenger has very high temperature or shows symptoms of coronavirus, he shall not be allowed to travel despite having confirmed tickets. In this case full refund shall be provided to passenger under these conditions:
1. On a PNR having a single passenger.
2. If one passenger on a party ticket is found unfit to travel and other passengers on the same PNR do not want to travel, full refund shall be granted to all passengers.
3. If one passenger is found unfit to travel on a party ticket, and other passengers on the same PNR want to travel, full refund of fare shall be granted to the passenger who is not allowed to travel.
