Government Issues New COVID-19 Advisory for International Travellers

In light of the increasing COVID-19 cases in several countries, the Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) has issued an advisory for the safety of the travellers. Starting from 10 AM on 24th December, a subsection of 2% of the total passengers in each international flight will undergo random testing post their arrival at the airport.

Such travellers, preferably from different countries, will be identified by the respective airlines. They will be allowed to leave the airport premises after submitting their samples.

The Indian Medical Association has advised the citizens to use face masks, sanitizers, maintain social distancing, and get vaccinated against COVID-19 as soon as possible.
