Good News! Indians can now travel to Brazil Visa-Free

Brazilian President, Jair Bolsonaro, recently announced that the nation will drop its visa requirements for Indian and Chinese travellers.

An embassy spokesperson said, “The government of Brazil intends to bring in a policy to facilitate easier entry for Indian tourists and business persons from India as we want to boost people-to-people contact between the two countries and increase foreign investment into Brazil.”

The Brazilian government also ended visa requirements for tourists and businessmen from the United States, Canada, Japan and Australia on 17th June this year. Those countries, however, have not in return dropped their visa requirements for Brazilian citizens.

Brazil President Jair Bolsonaro also announced that he intends to bring in measures that will allow greater contact with India and China and end visa requirements for the citizens of the two countries.
