Good news for train passengers! The Golden Chariot Luxury train will restart its service from March next year.

The development comes after Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation (KSTDC) signed an agreement with Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) to revive the luxurious train and restart its operations.
The train will not only boost the tourism in Karnataka but other southern states as well.

About the train: It is an 18-coach-long train with 44 guest rooms and can accommodate 84 guests.
Once the operation starts, the train will cover tourist destinations like Karnataka, Kerala, Puducherry and several other south Indian states. It also proposes to include places like Bandipur, Mysuru, Halebid, Chikmagalur, Hampi, Bijapur and Goa in its itinerary.
