Railways has been actively working to provide free Wi-Fi services at railway stations. So far more than 700 railway stations are providing free Wi-Fi to passengers.
Note: Railway Minister Piyush Goyal recently asked railway officials to provide free Wi-Fi to 2,000 stations as soon as possible.
Passengers travelling through Kalka-Shimla section will now be able to enjoy this service at all 18 stations.
Earlier this service was only available at 3 stations of this route. But Northern Railway announced that 15 stations including Barog, Dharampur Himachal, Gumman, Koti, Kumarhatti Dagshai, Sonwara, Taksal, Kandaghat, Salogra, Knoh, Kathleghat, Shoghi, Tara Devi, Jutogh and Summerhill have been turned into free Wi-Fi zones.
