India is celebrating its 75th year of Independence this August. And to commemorate these 75 magnificent years, the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) has announced that entry to all centrally-protected monuments will be free till 15th August.
This is a part of the “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav” initiative. There are currently a total of 3,793 ASI-protected sites across India. The Red Fort, Taj Mahal, Sun Temple and Ajanta Caves are some of the monuments one can visit during this time period.
