This initiative was introduced by the Ministry of Culture, GOI in 2019 wherein only female visitors were allowed free entry in ASI monuments on Women’s Day. This year, it has been extended to all visitors.
At present, there is a total of 3691 monuments protected by the Central Government. This order is applicable to the Taj Mahal, Red Fort and all other monuments across the country.
We advise you to follow COVID appropriate behaviours while visiting these monuments. Happy travels! 😀
