Various zones and divisions of Indian Railways have announced the launching, extension, merger and extra stoppages of many trains. Scroll down to know all these important updates.

Update 1: New Trains
> The North Central Railway shared the news of special trains between Rani Kamlapati and Agartala.
Train no. 01665 Rani Kamlapati–Agartala Festival Special will depart from its source every Thursday at 3:30 PM, and reach Agartala on Saturday at 8 PM. It will run from 4th August to 29th September.
Train no. 01666 Agartala–Rani Kamlapati Festival Special will depart from its source every Sunday at 3 PM, and reach Rani Kamlapati on Tuesday at 4:35 PM. It will run from 7th August to 2nd October.
> The Southern Railway has decided to operate a pair of special fare trains between Tirunelveli and Tambaram.
Starting from 7th August, train no. 06004 Tirunelveli–Tambaram Weekly Special will depart from Tirunelveli at 7 PM and reach Tambaram at 9:20 AM the next day.
Starting from 8th August, train no. 06003 Tambaram–Tirunelveli Weekly Special will depart from Tambaram at 10:20 PM and reach Tirunelveli at 10:40 AM the next day.
Each service will run for five trips.
> The Eastern Railway notified about a pair of special trains between Sealdah and Puri to accommodate the extra rush during the Independence Day weekend.

Update 2: Extension of Trains
> The Northeast Frontier Railway tweeted that it will be extending two trains.
Train no. 08047 Santragachi–New Jalpaiguri Summer Special will now run for four additional trips from 5th to 26th August.
Train no. 08048 New Jalpaiguri–Santragachi Summer Special will also take another four trips from 6th to 27th August.
There will be no changes in the schedules, compositions and stoppages of both the services.
Update 3: Merging of Trains
> The North Western Railway announced that it will merge two trains and operate a new service: Jaisalmer–Sabarmati–Jaisalmer Express.

Update 4: Additional Stoppages
> Konkan Railway declared that it will add stoppages in four Ganpati Special trains. The stations receiving these halts are Zarap and Madure.
