Due to dense fog enveloping the northern region of the country, the Indian Railways has notified about a change in schedule for several special IRCTC trains.
While many of the trains have had their frequency reduced, several others have been fully/partially cancelled till 31st January, 2021. This is being undertaken keeping the safety of passengers in mind.
Along with this, a few trains have also been short terminated/originated and diverted by the Railways owing to the ongoing farmers’ protests.

1.The East Central Railways has fully cancelled four trains and reduced the frequency of another two:
>Train no. 05933 Dibrugarh – Amritsar Weekly Special train has been cancelled on 22.12.20, 29.12.20, 05.01.21, 12.01.21, 19.01.21, 26.01.21.
>Train no. 05934 Amritsar – Dibrugarh Weekly Special train has been cancelled on 25.12.20, 01.01.21, 08.01.21, 15.01.21, 22.01.21, 29.01.21.
>Train no. 02357 Kolkata – Amritsar Bi-weekly Special train has been cancelled on 19.12.20, 22.12.20, 29.12.20, 02.01.21, 05.01.21, 09.01.21, 12.01.21, 16.01.21, 19.01.21, 23.01.21, 26.01.21, 30.01.21.
>Train no. 02358 Amritsar – Kolkata Bi-weekly Special train has been cancelled on 21.12.20, 24.12.20, 28.12.20, 31.12.20, 04.01.21, 07.01.21, 11.01.21, 14.01.21, 18.01.21, 21.01.21, 25.01.21, 28.01.21, 01.02.21.
>The frequency of train no. 02367 Bhagalpur – Anand Vihar Daily Special train has been reduced. The train will not be in service on Tuesday and Thursdays till the end of January. The cancellation dates are 17.12.20, 22.12.20, 24.12.20, 29.12.20, 31.12.20, 05.01.21, 07.01.21, 12.01.21, 14.01.21, 19.01.21, 21.01.21, 26.01.21 and 28.01.21.
>In the opposite direction, the frequency of train no.02368 Anand Vihar – Bhagalpur Daily Special train has been reduced as well. The train will not be in service on Wednesday and Friday till the end of January. The cancellation dates are 18.12.20. 23.12.20, 25.12.20, 30.12.20, 01.01.21, 06.01.21, 08.01.21, 13.01.21, 15.01.21, 20.01.21, 22.01.21, 27.01.21 and 29.01.21.
2. The Northern Railways has fully cancelled 34 trains, partially cancelled four and reduced the frequency of 13 others:

3. The Western Railways has short terminated/originated one pair of trains and diverted another one owing to the ongoing farmers’ protests:
>Train no. 02925 Bandra Terminus – Amritsar Special train has been cancelled between Chandigarh and Amritsar and will therefore be short terminated at Chandigarh today.
>Train no. 02926 Amritsar – Bandra Terminus Special train has been cancelled between Amritsar and Chandigarh and will therefore be short originated from Chandigarh on 19.12.20.
>Train no. 02904 Amritsar – Mumbai Central Special train will be diverted via Amritsar – Tarn Taran – Beas today.
