The latest railway station that will get a world-class makeover is Gujarat’s Gandhinagar Railway Station. Once revamped, it will be the first one in the country to have a 5-star hotel right above the railway tracks!

Search TrainsIn a statement, Railway Board Chairman VK Yadav said, “It’s a unique model, the design has been made in a way that no vibrations or noise from the trains on the tracks below will be felt by the occupants of the hotel.”
The luxury hotel, which will make the station one of the tallest buildings in the city, is expected to be completed by December 2020. The entire Gandhinagar station will have 3 towers so as to give the impression of petals if looked at from the top.
But wait, that’s not all! Along with the 5-star hotel, the Gandhinagar Railway Station will also have a revamped station building with airport-style retail shops and a food court to ensure maximum comfort for the passengers.
