Wondering what Kanwar Yatra is?
Every year, the Kanwariyas (pilgrims) visit holy places like Haridwar, Gaumukh and Gangotri in Uttarakhand and Sultanganj in Bihar to bring back the holy water of the Ganga River. The holy water is then used to worship Lord Shiva.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Kanwar Yatra was cancelled in Uttarakhand last year, and entry at ‘Har ki Pauri’ was also restricted.
We urge travellers to follow all the safety protocols and enjoy a safe trip!
