Enter airports across India using Mobile Aadhaar

Did you know that you can enter any airport in India with a digital Aadhaar card? mAadhaar is an official mobile application developed by Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), allowing people to carry their aadhaar details on their smartphone.

How to use:

Step 1: Download, install and then open the mAadhaar app on your mobile.

Step 2: Create the password and download your Aadhaar profile.
Make sure that the mobile device you’re using contains the mobile number linked with your Unique identity number.

Note: If a user creates a profile on another device by transferring the mobile SIM to the new device, the previous profile becomes inactive. You can add up to 3 profiles on one application, all having the same mobile number registered with Aadhaar.

Other than Aadhaar card or mobile Aadhaar, other documents that can be presented for identification are passport, voter ID card, PAN card and driving licence.

Identification documents will not be required for minors accompanied by parents/guardians, according to a circular issued by aviation security agency BCAS (Bureau of Civil Aviation Security).
