Planning a vacation to Dubai but don’t know where to start? Here’s a 4 day itinerary to Dubai which will help you have a memorable holiday. With cheap and easily available flights to Dubai, exploring this Emirate city has become all the more easy! Dubai–a city of skyscrapers and fortifications, of futuristic vision and traditional beliefs..a city of paradoxes! From the world’s tallest building to the fastest roller-coaster and the largest indoor ski centre, Dubai is the fastest growing cosmopolitan city.
One of the best part about booking a trip to Dubai is the sheer variety of things to do. From the sparkling Marina Bay to the old quarters of Bur Dubai, the list just does not end!
Day 1
The Dubai Shopping Festival is on! The month long festival draws a huge crowd from around the world and one of the major centres for the festival is the Dubai Mall. Apart from this, there are many souks and bazaars all over the city which are buzzing with eager tourists eyeing the best bargains! The markets in Dubai are the best place to explore the city’s true Middle Eastern flavours.
It’s time to fill your tummy with some authentic Arabic delicacies! Dubai is a place where you will find food from all over the world on your plate. From Michelin Star restaurants to local shacks, you will find it all here. The restaurants in Dubai offer some of the most delicious grub. We would suggest you go to Al Mallah on 2nd of December Street in Satwa for some lip-smacking shawarmas, grilled shrimps and chocolate shake.
Go back to the hotel, unwind and get ready for an evening of fun. Dubai’s nightlife is the stuff that legends are made of! Start the evening with a leisurely stroll along the Burj Khalifa Lake. Watch the dancing fountains — the Dubai Fountain — as the sky is enveloped by a darkness and the city twinkles with crystals. The performance lasts for 5-6 minutes and is a sight to behold.
Every day is a Friday when you are in Dubai! Pull on that LBB, smack on your boldest red lipstick and throw all caution to the wind. Whether you are an all-girl gang or are holidaying with the Mr., the nightlife in Dubai will hook, book and cook you! There’s Atelier at the Dubai Emirates Towers Hotel, Boudoir at Dubai Marine Beach Resort & Spa, VIP Room at JW Marriott Marquis and People by Crystal at Raffles Hotel to name (just) a few!
Day 2
How does a Jazz session for breakfast sound? This interesting spin to your day is all thanks to The Irish Village on the Marina Walk promenade. Live music, a pitcher of fresh Guinness, a steak sandwich…aah, this is the life! Sit in the wooden pub, or out in the garden — this sprawling restaurant rightfully lives up to its name.
Head towards the Jumeirah Beach and walk along the Marina Walk. Here, the Arabian Gulf lies in front of you in all its crowning glory. Palm Jumeirah — a sprawling man made island lies around 2 km north of the Marina. In case you fancy some sheesha, hop inside any of the restaurants lining the avenue.
After an hour of chillin’, take a cruise of the Palm Jumeirah. The 2 hour cruise on a speedboat will take you through sites such as The Atlantis and Burj Al Arab. Click pictures, sip on some soda and sit back as the waves of the Gulf give a nice rhythm to your fluttering heart!
Aaand just like that, it’s time for dinner! The Plaj is a beach side restaurant overlooking The Palm and serves great Italian food. Al Muntaha is the in-house restaurant of Burj al Arab. Situated on the 27th floor, the place offers great views of the Marina Bay and The Palm.
Day 3
This year, the Dubai Golf Tournament will take place in the month of February. Great time to catch a break and witness the champions live in action! Book your seats now at the Emirates Golf Club and be part of history!
Catch an early morning golf game, and afterwards, head to Bert’s Cafe for a Parisian meal! The cafe has al fresco dining tables, where you can sit when the air is cooler.
Take a break, refresh and move towards the older parts of the city, known as Bur Dubai. Step back in time and explore four millennium worth of discoveries at the Dubai Museum. The museum occupies the Al Fahidi Fort and showcases the traditional way of life of the Emirates of Dubai.
Take a ride across the Dubai Creek on an abra, a wooden boat to reach Bur Dubai. After all the glitz and glamour of the cosmo city, this will be a humbling experience. Dine at Bastakiah Nights, one of the most romantic restaurants in the city offering a scrumptious spread of Lebanese cuisine.
Day 4
Begin your day with a visit to the Ibn Battuta Mall. Touted as the world’s largest theme based mall, the place has six courts based on the countries that Ibn Battuta visited. From here, head over to the Gold and Spice Souks in Deira. These two places will take around half a day, and leave you with enough time to explore the adventurous side of Dubai!
It’s time for desert safari! When in Dubai, you simply can’t afford to miss this excursion. The SUV will pick you up from your address and take you dune bashing. After an exhilarating ride, the cars take you to the campsite in the middle of the desert. Enjoy a night filled with sheesha, belly dancers, barbeque and camel rides. As the breeze gets chilly, the car takes you back to the city.
Alas, it’s time to say goodbye to the city of blinding lights. Coming to the end of the 4 day itinerary to Dubai, your bags will be filled with goodies, heart with nostalgia and a head full of memories that even the sands of time won’t be able to erase!
