We request all the party animals to gear up for this heart-stopping ride. India’s first double-decker Shatabdi train will now run from Mumbai to Goa, keeping in consideration the high tourism in Goa during winters.
The double coaches will be added to the Shatabdi as soon as possible. Just like other Shatabdis, this Shatabdi train will also reach its home destination at the end of each day. The fastest Shatabdi train runs between Delhi and Habibgaj at the whopping speed of 150 KPH.
On October 2011 India’s first double-decker train started running between Howrah and Dhanbad. However, this is the first Shatabdi train to have double-decker coaches.
Ahmedabad-Mumbai, Howrah-Dhanbad, Chennai-Bangalore, Delhi-Jaipur, Flying Ranee, Kacheguda-Tirupati and Guntur-Kacheguda are the other routes in India to have double-decker trains.
