Darbhanga to get important new connections to major cities
Owing to the growing demand of passengers, SpiceJet Airlines will finally be operating non-stop, direct flights from Darbhanga to three new major cities, namely Ahmedabad, Pune and Hyderabad.
Daily, non-stop flights between Darbhanga and Ahmedabad will commence from January 11. Non-stop flights on the Darbhanga-Pune and Darbhanga-Hyderabad sector will commence from January 18, operating every day of the week except Saturdays. Daily flights between Delhi and Kolkata
The West Bengal government had imposed a ban on daily flights to Kolkata from six metro cities, namely Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Chennai and Nagpur, in July to contain the spread of COVID-19. These restrictions were later relaxed to allow flights three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
However, the government has now relaxed the restrictions on daily flights between Delhi and Kolkata, undoubtedly one of the most important routes in the country. Passengers can now fly between the two metro cities on all major Indian carriers.
Flight operations recommence between Leh and Jammu
Air India has resumed the direct, non-stop flights between Leh and Jammu on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. The resumption of services is expected to provide a lifeline for interstate travel to locals as well as help passengers stranded due to the extreme cold in the region.
Port Blair gets new connections to the mainland
Indigo airlines is now operating three new services from Port Blair, the capital of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, to Kolkata, Hyderabad and Chennai. The convenient connections between the island and the metro cities is sure to delight travellers.
Fly non-stop between Delhi and Dibrugarh with Air India
Boosting connectivity to the northeast, Air India has launched a new non-stop flight between Delhi and Dibrugarh. The thrice-a-week flight has already started operations from December 28, 2020.
More flights to connect Patna and Pune
SpiceJet airlines is now operating two new flights between Patna and Pune. They are scheduled for all days except Saturdays and are as of now, the fastest flights between the two cities. The Patna-Pune flight departs at 2:05 pm and arrives by 4:25 pm, while the Pune-Patna flight departs at 11:20 am and arrives by 1:30 pm.
Indigo to launch non-stop flight between Coimbatore and Kolkata
IndiGo airlines will be launching non-stop flights between Coimbatore and Kolkata from January 14, 2020. Passengers must note that this is the first direct flight between the two destinations since March. The route is available for advance booking on ixigo.
Daily flights between Goa and Mumbai
National carrier Air India has finally launched daily flights between Mumbai and Goa. The non-stop flights between the two cities have begun operations from December 23, 2020.
Convenient one-hour flight between Mangaluru and Mysuru
Air India subsidy Alliance Air is operating one hour flights on the Mysuru-Mangaluru-Mysuru route every Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. This schedule is effective from December 11, 2020 and is proving to be extremely convenient for travellers.
