The Skytrax World Airport Awards named Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport the best in India and South Asia for the fourth consecutive year (2019–2022).
It has also been adjudged as the “cleanest airport in India and South Asia”.

The awards are based on an annual global airport customer satisfaction survey assessing customer service and facilities across 500 airports. More than 100 nationalities of airport users filled out the survey questionnaires during a nine-month period from September 2021 to May 2022.
The questionnaires were based on customer satisfaction across crucial airport services and products, which included check-in, arrivals, transfers, shopping, security, immigration and departure, among others.
Commenting on the achievement, Videh Jaipuriar, CEO of Delhi International Airport Ltd. (DIAL), a GMR Infrastructure Limited-led consortium said, “All the airport staff, stakeholders, and partners working at the airport have made Delhi Airport the Best Airport in India and South Asia with their constant resilience, focus, and customer-centricity. This is a proud moment for all of us. We take immense pride in receiving this prestigious accolade. Delhi Airport has always set a new benchmark in providing the best airport experience to all its passengers and will continue to do so.”
