The Vande Bharat Express connecting Delhi and Varanasi has increased its frequency to run five days a week. It is now operational every day except for Mondays and Thursdays.

The train has been upgraded with new features after serving the passengers continuously for three years. It underwent a total overhaul after completing its 5000-km run and is now back in service.
According to reports, Indian Railways has enhanced the semi-high-speed train based on the operational experience gained from the first two such services. The second version of the Vande Bharat Express will now undergo an overhaul after 10,000 kms instead of the previous 5,000 kms.

The Delhi–Varanasi Vande Bharat train was flagged off on 19th February 2019. It covers a distance of 759 kms in just eight hours, which is three hours less than the other services on the same route. The train departs from New Delhi at 6 AM and reaches Varanasi at 2 PM.
