Delhi-NCR Gets Another Airport; Know All The Details

Hindon Airport, owned by the Indian Air Force and Airports Authority of India (AAI), is now converted into a civil enclave.

Flights to 8 cities across the country will be available from this airport. While the airport has already been inaugurated by PM Narendra Modi, the services are expected to start from May 15, 2019.

Flights for cities including Hubli, Jamnagar, Shimla, Kalburgi, Kannur, Nashik, Faizabad, Pithoragarh will be available from this airport.

The services at this airport are provided under UDAN (Ude Desh Ka Aam Nagrik) scheme of the government that aims at offering cheaper air travel to the citizens. Under this scheme, taxes on fuel and other airport charges will be waived off. Also, financial assistance will be provided to the travellers.
