Beyond the breathtaking views and crisp mountain air, soon there is going to be another reason to visit ‘the Queen of Hills’ as Mussoorie will be connected to the state capital Dehradun through ropeway. It is being hailed as one of the longest ropeways in the world.
With the ropeway, the travel time between the two cities will reduce to barely 10 to 15 minutes. The ropeway will have the capacity of taking 1000 to 1200 people at a time.

Search FlightsThe 5.5 km long ropeway will have a total of 53 cabins, with each cabin having the capacity to seat 8 people.
The ropeway will be connected to the ISBT, railway station, and the airport in Dehradun. The project will also solve the severe parking problems in Mussoorie that persist year-long.
Along with keeping the pollution in check, the ropeway will also become an added attraction for both the destinations. Another feature of this cable car is that it will be operated in both rain as well as snow.
