Coronavirus Updates: India prohibits passengers from Afghanistan, Philippines and Malaysia

With cases jumping to 125 this morning, Coronavirus has unfortunately extended its footprints in India. New travel bans and measures have been imposed by the government.

>India has prohibited travel of passengers from Afghanistan, Philippines, and Malaysia till March 31.

>Two Noida residents with a history of travel to France have been found positive for the novel Coronavirus this morning. Both are admitted to designated isolation hospitals.

>The government has expanded compulsory quarantine for a minimum period of 14 days for passengers coming from/transiting through UAE, Qatar, Oman, and Kuwait.

>All the major temples and monuments including Shirdi Sai Baba temple, Taj Mahal, Shaniwar Wada Fort, etc. have been closed until further notice.

>The total number of cases in the country jumped to 125 after fresh cases were reported from several states. The confirmed cases include 22 foreign nationals.

>With an increase in the number of Covid-19 cases in Maharashtra, the government has imposed section 144 in Nagpur and Nashik.
