Indian Railways’ fight against coronavirus outbreak continues! Railways is going to manufacture over 1 lakh washable face masks using the cloth material that is used to produce railway uniforms.
Note: Government has made it mandatory for masks to be used, both at public and workplaces.
Northern Railway zone, which has been leading the charge in making COVID-19-related material, like PPE coverall suits, isolation coaches and hand sanitiser will be making the face masks.
Each mask will cost Rs 5.94, on the other hand, the same quality mask in the market costs around Rs 7.50.
