Passengers who have not booked their meals while booking train tickets can still opt for the service before the chart preparation of the train, which is normally prepared four hours before the scheduled departure of the train.
Steps to book the cooked meal service:
- Open the ixigo Trains app and tap on the ‘IRCTC food’ option.
- Enter your PNR, select between vegetarian and non-vegetarian options and pay to confirm your selection.
Passengers who have booked tickets from PRS counters can also avail the cooked meal service through the above steps. However, please ensure that the service is available in the train you will be travelling in, using the list above.
The resumption of this service is bound to benefit passengers, especially those travelling long-distance with the Railways!
