Here are the details:
“The redevelopment is planned with a view to decongesting the southern heritage node of the terminus, augmentation of facilities, better multimodal integration and conserving and restoring the world-famous iconic structure to its past glory,” said an official release.
Here’s a glimpse of the proposed design of the modernised CSMT:
> Segregation of arrival and departure passengers
> Clutter-free platforms
> Improved surfaces
> Arcade thorough roof over platforms, including all tracks
> CCTVs
> Lifts, escalators, travelators
> Facilities for Divyangjan
> Certified green buildings
