This decision was taken keeping in mind the safety of the pilgrims. They will only be permitted to visit the holy sites on the dates allocated to them. The pilgrims can go ahead with their hotel and other necessary bookings, once their registration is confirmed.

The devotees will require a passport-sized photograph and an identity proof to register themselves on the portal.
The government has also issued a health warning, advising pilgrims to get a full body check-up before beginning the yatra. Because the temples are located at high altitudes, they may suffer from certain health problems, especially given the rough terrains and weather conditions.
