In a new press release, the Indian Railways declared that it has increased the monthly limit of the number of online bookings made through IRCTC. Scroll down for further details.

The Ministry of Railways made the announcement that users will now be able to make up to 24 train ticket bookings per month, provided their account is linked to their Aadhar Card. This number is double the previous limit of 12 bookings a month. For users who have not linked their Aadhar, the limit has now been increased from six bookings a month to 12.

It is noteworthy that the upper limit of 24 monthly bookings applies to only those users who have linked their Aadhar Card details with their IRCTC accounts. The other requirement related to this development is that for each ticket, one of the passengers should be verifiable through their Aadhar credentials.
