The Indian Railways has cancelled and short terminated many train services around the country owing to a number of reasons, including the ongoing farmers’ protests and regular track maintenance work.

Short terminated/originated trains
> Train no. 22924 Jamnagar – Bandra Humsafar Express has been cancelled between Jamnagar and Ahmedabad. As a result, it will be short originated from Ahmedabad on 28th and 31st December and 2nd, 4th, 7th and 9th January.
> Train no. 22923 Bandra – Jamnagar Humsafar Express has been cancelled between Ahmedabad and Jamnagar. As a result, it will be short terminated at Ahmedabad on 30th December and 1st, 3rd, 6th and 8th January.
> Train no. 15045 Gorakhpur – Okha Express has been cancelled between Ahmedabad and Okha. As a result, it will be short terminated at Ahmedabad on 30th December and 6th January.
> Train no. 15046 Okha – Gorakhpur Express has been cancelled between Okha and Ahmedabad. As a result, it will be short originated from Ahmedabad on 2nd and 9th January.
> Train no. 12903 Mumbai Central – Amritsar Golden Temple Mail has been cancelled between Ludhiana and Amritsar. As a result, it will be short originated from Ludhiana on 29th December.
> Train no. 12919 Dr. Ambedkar Nagar – Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Malwa Express has been cancelled between Delhi and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra. As a result, it will be short originated from New Delhi on 29th December.
Cancelled trains
> Train no. 11139 Mumbai CSMT – Gadag Superfast Special has been cancelled due to power block on 2nd, 8th and 9th January. Whereas train no. 11140 Gadag – Mumbai CSMT Superfast Special has been cancelled on 3rd, 9th and 10th January.
> Train no. 04735/04736 Shri Ganganagar – Ambala – Ganganagar Special has been cancelled on 30th December due to non-interlocking work.
> Train no. 04654 Amritsar Jn. – New Jalpaiguri Special has been cancelled on 29th December due to farmers’ agitation in Firozpur Cantt. Whereas train no. 04653 New Jalpaiguri – Amritsar Jn. Special has been cancelled on 31st December.
