Starting from 1st October, Canada will remove numerous border measures for national as well as international travellers. People will no longer be required to provide proof of vaccination and undergo pre- and on-arrival testing. The quarantine requirements will also be scrapped, along with the submission of health data on the ArriveCAN portal.

In addition, the country’s transportation body—Transport Canada—will remove the mandate to wear masks on trains and planes. The government, however, insisted that passengers should still use masks during their journeys. It is also recommended that travellers follow the advisories listed on the government’s website to ensure a safe trip.
