Can We Carry Ghee on a Domestic Flight?

The good news is that you can carry ghee on a domestic flight within permissible limits which are set by aviation authorities or relevant airlines. 1. Quantity Allowed: Passengers can carry ghee in their carry-on luggage but with restrictions according to TSA (The Transportation Security Administration). The limits on the quantity one brings onboard is defined and it falls under the same guidelines as liquids like gels, perfumes, etc. One can take a single container of ghee which should be around 3.4 ounces or 100 ml, packed in a small container and kept in a clear bag which is quarter-sized.

Even for international flights, one can carry ghee up to 100 ml only if it is seal-packed.

2. Packing Requirements:  As per the TSA regulations, one of the most crucial parts of carrying ghee on a flight is how it is packed. To avoid any leaks, ghee should be tightly packed in a secure and sealed container. Also, to keep the inspection process easy during the security, the ghee should be stored in a transparent plastic bag to avoid any confusion.
