Mumbai – Ahmedabad high-speed rail corridor is among the most awaited railway projects of the country. Delay in acquiring land for the project might push back the launch date, but the new components in the train are surely creating excitement among the travellers.
Some of the new features to be installed in this train are —
1- Dedicated child feeding room, a room for sick people and separate washrooms for men and women.
2- Baby changing rooms will have baby toilet seats, tables for diaper disposal and a low sink for children to wash hands.
3- Two extra-spacious toilets for wheelchair-bound passengers.
4- Wall mounted urinals for men will be installed in alternate coaches in the train.
5- Comfortable automatic seat rotation system.
6- A freezer, boiling water facility, hot case and tea and coffee maker, and a hand towel warmer will be provided in business class.
7- LCD screens will be installed to display current station, next stopping station, schedule and expected time to reach destination stations.
This train will take about 2 hours and 7 minutes to cover the 508-km distance between Mumbai and Ahmedabad.
