Union Culture and Tourism Minister Prahlad Singh Patel announced that the opening hours of 10 historical monuments across India have been increased and they will now remain open from sunrise to 9 pm.
He also said, “Some places in this list are temples that are popular both among tourists and locals. People also visit temples at night. Hence, a decision was taken to extend their visiting time beyond 6 pm.”

> Rajarani Temple, Bhubaneswar
> Dulhadev Temple, Khajuraho
> Sheikh Chilli’s Tomb, Kurukshetra
> Group of Monuments at Pattadakal, Karnataka
> Gol Gumbaz, Karnataka
> Group of Temples, Maharashtra (Markanda)
> Man Mahal, Uttar Pradesh (Varanasi)
> Rani Ki Vav, Patan (Gujarat)
> Safdarjung Tomb, Delhi
