Another shock for flyers! After IndiGo increased the charges for excess check-in baggage, SpiceJet and GoAir have also revised their excess baggage fares.

Apart from the free 15 kg, Indigo and GoAir will charge passengers opting for pre-booking service. The charges will be Rs.1,900; Rs.3,800; Rs.5,700 and Rs.11,400 for 5, 10, 15 and 30 kg of baggage respectively on domestic routes.
While SpiceJet pre-booking charges for 5, 10, 15, 20 and 30 kg for domestic flyers are Rs 1,600; Rs 3,200; Rs 4,800; Rs 6,400 and Rs 9,600, respectively.
For those who haven’t pre-booked their baggage for domestic routes, IndiGo, GoAir and SpiceJet will charge Rs 400/kg if the weight exceeds the 15-kg mark.
Note: IndiGo and SpiceJet revised their excess baggage charges from June 22, 2018 while GoAir revised it from June 23, 2018.
From January 2017 the Jet fuel prices have seen a rise of 40% until last month, putting severe strain on the airlines.
