First flight landed in Arunachal Pradesh with 25 passengers onboard

On 21st May 2018, Arunachal Pradesh found a place on the aviation map of the country. It is a historic moment for the state as well as for the entire nation. State’s first commercial flight, a 42-seater ATR aircraft of Alliance Air, flew from Guwahati to Pasighat carrying 25 passengers including Pema Khandu. The flight landed at Pasighat Advanced Landing Ground in East Siang district at 14:15 after a 1.5 hour journey.

Minutes after landing at the airport, CM Pema Khandu Tweeted, “Landed safely at Pasighat airport few minutes ago flying from Guwahati on Alliance Air. Proud to be part of this historic moment. I am extremely thankful to PM @narendramodi ji and @MoCA_GoI for connecting Arunachal with airways (sic).” He also added, “Besides, Zoom Airlines is scheduled to introduce its services in the state soon.”
