Starting 1st July, the Indian Railways will introduce its passengers to new rules and regulations. It’s believed that these changes will be for the betterment of train passengers. Confirmed ticket and Tatkal ticket refund will be the main highlights besides other changes.
In case you are planning to book tickets, please go through the new guidelines that will be effective starting July1.
1. Booking tickets in regional languages will be feasible
2. The alternate facility of Suvidha trains will be provided to waitlisted passengers
3. A passenger will get 50% cash refund, in case he/she cancels a Suvidha train
4. The premium trains will no longer be in service
5. Only mobile tickets will be valid in Shatabdi Express and Rajdhani trains
6. A “wake up call destination” service will also be provided to passengers
7. Passenger would be able to get confirmed tickets owing to the increase in the number of coaches in Rajdhani and Shatabdi Express
8. While one will be able to book sleeper coach ticket between 11 AM and 12 PM, Tatkal window for AC booking will be available between 10 AM and 11 AM.
