The Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) is all set to resume inter-state bus services to the neighbouring state of Tamil Nadu from November 25. These services will be resumed after a gap of 8 months.

Advanced reservation for APSRTC buses between Tirupati and Chennai is now open on ixigo and fares start at Rs.168 as on November 23, 2020.
APSRTC used to operate 202 buses between the two states prior to the lockdown to various destinations including Chennai, Kancheepuram, Vellore and Krishnagiri.
It will now be operating with minimum services and will gradually increase the number of buses as per demand. It is expected that the initial occupancy rate will be close to 50 per cent.
APSRTC had earlier started buses between Tirupati – Hyderabad and Tirupati – Bangalore for the convenience of both pilgrims and the general public. Both these routes are also available on ixigo.
The resumption of bus services between the two states is sure to enhance connectivity and offer an easy commuting option to the travellers!
