After two years, the Surajkund Mela is back with a bang!
The festival will kick off this Saturday, making the long Holi weekend even more fun! Held annually by the Haryana Tourism Department, the festival was not organised in 2021 owing to the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Where: Lakewood City, Surajkund, Faridabad, Haryana 121010.
Dates: 19 March to 4 April 2022.
Timings: 9:30 AM to 8:00 PM.
Ticket Price: INR 120 on weekdays and INR 180 on weekends.

Every year, the Surajkund Mela Authority chooses an Indian state and showcases its diversity of traditions and culture. The 35th edition of this fair is centered around the state of Jammu and Kashmir.
Twenty countries are expected to take part in the festival, along with all the states of India. Uzbekistan is the country partner for this edition of the Mela. An immensely popular event, Surajkund hosts thousands of attendees from all across the globe every year.
Highlights of this year’s festival include:
-Multi-ethnic food courts
-Amusement, joy rides and adventure sports
-Folk performances at open-air “Chaupals”
-Evening recitals at the “Natyashala”
-Showcase of heritage arts and crafts
The seventeen-day long event will be adhering to all the current Covid protocols, including social distancing, temperature checks and sanitisation stations. Wearing face masks and carrying a proof of vaccination is mandatory to attend the festival.
