Station Alarm Feature
Are you the types who needs a constant reminder by fellow passengers that your station is coming next and that you should be ready for deboarding the train? Well, if the answer is yes then you must be happy to hear that the super cool ixigo trains app has a dedicated feature just for this.
What’s there:
Known as Station Alarm, the feature allows you to set an alarm when you are about to reach your destination. There are different options for setting the alarm, for instance, you can choose a 5, 10, 15 or 20 km before reaching the designated railway station. However, there are some prerequisites for using this feature:
Alarms are valid only for up to 96 hours from setting them, so you have to plan accordingly.
The phone number, location and internet connectivity should be ON till the station for using this feature.
Booking Date
The Booking Date feature of ixigo trains app is extremely useful if you are planning your journey well in advance. Normally, the window period of ticket booking is almost 120 days, for instance, if you are planning to travel in the first week of June, the ticket booking window for the same will be available from March 1st Week. However, we tend to miss this most of the times and here is when the Booking Date feature comes into place.
It asks for train details (name or number) and once you enter the information, it shows the booking calendar for the same. You can avoid the last minute travel hassles (paying extra for tatkal, shifting your date journey due to unavailability of tickets) once you start using the Booking Date feature. The feature, once set, sends you in-app notifications for booking your train tickets.
