Rail: The nearest railway station to reach Ziro is Naharlagun. Guwahati to Naharlagun train takes nearly 8 hours to cover the distance. After which it is a 4-hour drive to reach Ziro.
Road: To reach Ziro, there are direct buses which are available from North Lakhimpur and Itanagar. The distance between North Lakhimpur to Ziro is about 117 km and the distance between Itanagar to Ziro is about 110 km.

Tips: Ziro is one of the destinations that require inner line permit. Every visitor (Indian and foreigners) needs a special permit to enter Arunachal Pradesh. For Indians an Inner Line Permit (ILP) and for foreigners, a Protected Area Permit are required.
