A New Vande Bharat Express to Start on the Bengaluru-Madurai Route!

PM Modi will inaugurate the Madurai-Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express on August 31. This new service is set to become the fastest train between the two cities, reducing the travel time to just 7.45 hours for the 430-kilometer journey.

The Vande Bharat Express will run six days a week, with Tuesday being its only non-operational day. The train will stop at several major stations, including Dindigul, Tiruchirappalli, Karur, Namakkal, Salem, Krishnarajapuram, and Bengaluru Cantonment.


The train will depart from Madurai at 5:15 am and arrive at Bengaluru Cantonment by 1:00 pm. On the return journey, it will leave Bengaluru Cantonment at 1:30 pm and reach Madurai at 9:45 pm. Each station will have a brief stop, with the longest halts of five minutes at Tiruchirappalli and Salem.


The fare for a chair car is expected to be between Rs. 1,200 and Rs. 1,300, while the executive class is likely to cost between Rs. 1,800 and Rs. 2,000.
