Now let’s take a look at the countries that are open for fully vaccinated Indian travellers:
Switzerland
Bollywood’s most favourite shooting location, Switzerland is now open for fully vaccinated Indian travellers. Indians who have received two doses of the Covishield vaccine are not required to carry a negative test report. They will also be exempted from quarantine.
Maldives
Maldives awaits you for your next romantic holiday! Indian travellers who are planning to check-in or stay at tourist facilities in inhabited islands will be permitted only if they have taken the Covishield vaccine. In addition to this, they must also carry a negative COVID-19 report (PCR test with the sample taken within 96 hours before departure).
Canada
It’s time to explore Canada! For fully vaccinated passengers, a pre-departure COVID-19 PCR test result from the Genestrings Laboratory, located at the Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi is required. The test must be taken within 18 hours before the scheduled departure. All travellers will present the QR-coded test report to the airline officials before boarding.
Please note that travellers going to Canada via an indirect route will need to provide a pre-departure COVID-19 negative molecular test result from a third country before continuing their journey to Canada.
United Kingdom
Ab UK door nahi! Indians who have been completely vaccinated with Covishield can now enter the UK without having to undergo the 10-day quarantine requirement. All vaccinated travellers will undergo a test on day two after their arrival. The test must be booked in advance.
Turkey
Time to block your calendar! It’s time for a vacation in Turkey. Passengers arriving from India or those who have been in India in the last 14 days must provide a negative PCR test report taken at most 72 hours before arrival in the country. Also, travellers who are fully vaccinated with Covishield and have completed 14 days since the second dose will be exempted from the mandatory quarantine requirement.
Sri Lanka
Say ‘bye-bye’ to your office for some time and plan a holiday to Sri Lanka as it has reopened its borders to fully vaccinated Indian travellers. Travellers who have received both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine are permitted to travel to Sri Lanka after having completed two weeks of receiving their second shot. Travellers must also carry a COVID-19 RT-PCR test taken within 72 hours before departure.
UAE
Vacation ka ek aur bahana! The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is welcoming Indian travellers, provided that they have been fully vaccinated with Covishield. Travellers will require two pre-departure tests —one from an ICMR-approved lab, taken within 48 hours, and a rapid PCR test from the departing airport. There will also be an additional test on arrival at airports in the UAE.
Qatar
Your vacation starts in 3…2…1! Indian travellers vaccinated with Covishield can carry their complete vaccination certificate to enter Qatar. Travellers will undergo COVID-19 tests on arrival at a quarantine hotel where they will stay for two days until the results are declared.
Please note: All COVID-19 travel policies are subject to change. We advise our passengers to check with their airlines one last time before making their flight bookings.
Don’t forget to tell us about your vacation! Till we meet again, happy travels 🙂
