Switzerland
Direct flights from India: No
Quarantine: 10 days for unvaccinated travellers
Switzerland was the 1st European country which allowed fully vaccinated travellers from India. Moreover, Indian travellers with both shots of Covishield are not required to quarantine on arrival.
There are no direct flights to Switzerland but one can fly from Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru and Chennai with 1 or 2 stops.

Russia
Direct flights from India: Limited
Quarantine: Not required
Russia is one of the few countries allowing Indians to travel on tourist visas. A negative COVID-19 test report issued at most 72 hours before arrival is mandatory to enter Russia.
One can take a direct flight from Delhi or via Dubai from Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad and Kozhikode to enter Russia.

South Korea
Direct flights from India: No
Quarantine: Vaccinated travellers are exempted
The land of K-pop & K-dramas is calling! South Korea has finally done away with the mandatory 14-day quarantine for those Indian travellers who are vaccinated with both the doses of Covishield vaccine. Additionally, a pre-travel COVID test is also mandatory for travellers.
There are no direct flights to South Korea but one can fly from Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Chennai with 1 stop.

Iceland
Direct flights from India: No
Quarantine: Travellers without relevant documents will be subject to quarantine.
One of the most beautiful places in the world, Iceland is now open for Indian travellers. To enter, a person needs to be fully vaccinated with the approved vaccinations by the EU/WHO, including Covishield by AstraZeneca. Travellers will have to present a valid vaccination certificate.
There are no direct flights to Iceland but one can fly from Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Chennai with 1 stop.
Costa Rica
Direct flights from India: No
Quarantine: No
Now you can plan a trip to Costa Rica without a vaccination certificate or an RT-PCR test report. However, one has to fill out a health pass form upon arrival at the rainforested Central American country. Travellers also must carry an insurance policy.
There are no direct flights to Costa Rica but one can fly from Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Bhubaneswar, Mumbai and Delhi with 1 or 2 stops.

Ukraine
Direct flights from India: No
Quarantine: No
Ukraine is yet another European country that has opened for Indian tourists. Travellers must carry one of the following documents: A negative RT-PCR test or a negative Antigen test is mandatory or a valid : a vaccination certificate. Pfizer/BioNTech, Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen, AstraZeneca / Vaxzevria, AstraZeneca/Covishield (India), AstraZeneca/SKBio (South Korea), Moderna, Sinopharm, CoronaVac (Sinovac) are amongst the approved vaccines for the country.
There are no direct flights to Ukraine but one can fly from Delhi, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Mumbai and Kochi with 1 stop.

Also, countries like Nepal, Turkey, Zambia & Netherlands are open for Indian travellers. However, these countries require quarantine for more than a week.

Mauritius is also opening for Indian tourists from 15th July in a phased manner. Vaccinated guests will stay in COVID-19 safe hotel and get tested for RT-PCR test on day 7 & 14. Until then, one needs to stay in the hotel and use the available hotel facilities. Unvaccinated tourists will have to undergo quarantine.
According to a news report, Maldives is resuming its visa-on-arrival for Indian travellers starting 15th July. More information awaits!
