As a part of the above, here are some of the latest developments by Indian Railways: 

All new and Innovative Track Cycle 

Indian Railways has introduced a new system to ensure passenger security. The track cycle will help in increasing the mobility and operational capability of trackmen so they can quickly attend to repair and maintenance work.

Ministry of Railways even tweeted about it: 


Railways have recently got the Ninja Unmanned Aerial Vehicles

These drones will help in real-time tracking, monitoring of the railway assets and ensure additional safety for train passengers.

Railway Minister Piyush Goyal shared a video of these new Aerial Vehicles on his twitter. Check the tweet below:

Plastic Bottle Crushing Machines 

Indian Railways has been focusing on eliminating plastic waste and disposing it in an eco-friendly manner. In accordance with the same, 3 plastic bottle crushing machines have been installed at the Mumbai Central Station. Soon, 25 more such machines will be installed at various stations of the Mumbai Division.

Mask and Sanitizer Machine at Ahmedabad Station 

Ever since the start of COVID-19, Railways has tried to ensure that all the safety equipment and products are easily available at all stations.
