In an exciting piece of news for train travellers, the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has announced 38 festival special trains.

These special festival trains will provide ease of transportation to devotees attending the festivals as well as to general passengers.

A) The Northern Railway has decided to run 20 festival special trains as per details given below:
> Train no. 01676 Anand Vihar to Muzaffarpur Jn. will run till November 17.
> Train no. 01675 Muzaffarpur Jn. to Anand Vihar will run till November 18.
> Train no. 01670 New Delhi to Darbhanga will run till November 18.
> Train no. 01669 Darbhanga to New Delhi will run till November 19.
> Train no. 01656 Chandigarh to Gorakhpur will run till November 18.
> Train no. 01655 Gorakhpur to Chandigarh will run till November 19.
> Train no. 01660 New Delhi to Barauni Jn. will run till November 19.
> Train no. 01659 Barauni Jn. to New Delhi will run till November 20.
> Train no. 01662 Anand Vihar to Saharsa Jn. will run till November 18.
> Train no. 01661 Saharsa Jn. to Anand Vihar will run till November 19.
> Train no. 01668 Anand Vihar to Jaynagar will run till November 19.
> Train no. 01667 Jaynagar to Anand Vihar will run till November 20.
> Train no. 01633 New Delhi to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra will run till November 21.
> Train no. 01634 Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra to New Delhi will run till November 22.
> Train no. 01636 Bhatinda to Varanasi will run till November 21.
> Train no. 01635 Varanasi to Bhatinda will run till November 22.
> Train no. 01654 Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra to Varanasi will run till November 21.
> Train no. 01653 Varanasi to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra will run till November 23.
> Train no. 01674 Delhi to Varanasi will run till November 21.
> Train no. 01673 Varanasi to Delhi will run till November 22.
> Train no. 01671 Anand Vihar to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra will run till November 18.
> Train no. 01672 Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra to Anand Vihar will run till November 19.
B) Keeping the demand of the passengers in view, the Central Railway has also announced festival special trains between Pune – Bhagat Ki Kothi, Mumbai – Nagpur and Nagpur – Karmali.

For Pune – Bhagat Ki Kothi:
> Train no. 01249 Pune – Bhagat Ki Kothi Special will depart from Pune every Friday at 08:10 pm and reach Bhagat Ki Kothi at 07:55 pm the next day. This festival special train will run from October 22 to November 19.
> Similarly, Train no. 01250 Bhagat Ki Kothi – Pune Special will depart from Bhagat Ki Kothi every Saturday at 10:20 pm and reach Pune at 07:05 pm the next day. This festival special train will run from October 23 to November 20.

C) For the convenience of passengers, the South Eastern Railway is also running festival special trains between Hatia and Gorakhpur.

D) In order to clear the extra rush of passengers during the festive season, the Western Railway will be running additional festival special trains between Bandra Terminus – Subedarganj, Bandra Terminus – Mau, Surat – Subedarganj, Surat – Karmali and Ahmedabad – Kanpur Central.
