> Monuments under the Archaeological Survey of India are now open!
All centrally protected monuments, museums and sites closed for around two months due to COVID-19 pandemic, have now reopened. An order in this regard was issued by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) a few days back.
As per the order, all the 3,693 monuments and 50 museums across the country are open for tourists now. Visitors will be able to book entry tickets online and no offline booking facility has been made available. The ASI order has mandated strict compliance with the executive orders, if any, issued by the state, district or the disaster management authority.

> A mythological theme park is going to be set up in Katra
One of the holiest and most visited pilgrimage places in India, Katra, is going to have a mythological theme park very soon.
As per the reports, the administration of J&K officials and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Committee have identified three possible locations – two near the shrine and one around 10km from the Katra bus stop.
The park will be fully connected and will also provide benefits like outdoor and indoor art and entertainment, shops, sports activities, rides and games, and quality food options.
> Dalhousie, Chamba to host a 3-day dragon boat and paragliding festival soon!
To boost tourism in the region, Himachal’s Dalhousie and Chamba are gearing up to organise three-day dragon boat and paragliding festivals.
Chamba Deputy Commissioner, DC Rana, said that “they have been planning to host the three-day dragon festival in Chamera Lake at Taleru. He also informed that the paragliding festival will be held in Khajjiar near Dalhousie.”
Compliance with all the rules related to COVID-19 will be mandatory during the event and necessary precautions will be taken care of.
