The Indian Railways has cancelled and diverted several trains for the first week of October.
The affected trains are operated under the Northeast Frontier Railway. The rail zone has notified that as many as 24 trains have been cancelled, while three have been diverted due to developmental work in the Alipurduar division.

> Train no. 02552 Kamakhya – Yesvantpur Special has been cancelled for 6th October.
> Train no. 05629 Tambaram – Silghat Special has been cancelled for today, 4th October.
> Train no. 05630 Silghat – Tambaram Special has been cancelled for 8th October.
> Train no. 05662 Kamakhya – Ranchi Special has been cancelled for 5th October.
> Train no. 05661 Ranchi – Kamakhya Special has been cancelled for 6th October.
> Train no. 05639 Puri – Kamakhya Special has been cancelled for 5th October.

> Train no. 02504 New Delhi – Dibrugarh Special will be diverted via Raninagar, New Jalpaiguri, Mathabhanga, New Coochbehar on 5th and 6th October.
