The East-Central Railway (ECR) has cancelled at least 14 passenger trains and diverted routes of a few others till 25 August. These changes are the result of non-interlocking work being carried out at Narkatiaganj Junction.
Cancelled passenger trains include:
- Muzaffarpur–Narkatiaganj passenger (15215/15216)
- Sugauli–Narkatiaganj passenger (25201/25202)
- Gorakhpur–Narkatiaganj passenger (55030/55041)
- Gorakhpur–Narkatiaganj passenger (55073/55074)
- Muzaffarpur–Narkatiaganj passenger (55209/552010)
- Narkatiaganj–Muzaffarpur passenger (55214)
- Gorakhpur–Narkatiaganj passenger (55081)
- Gorakhpur–Narkatiaganj passenger (55071/55072)
Trains with diverted routes include:
Anand Vihar (Delhi)–Muzaffarpur Garib Rath (12211/12212), Amritsar–Darbhanga Jannayak Express (15211/15212) and Bandra Terminus–Muzaffarpur Express (19039/19040) have been diverted to go via Gorakhpur–Chhapra–Muzaffarpur instead of the Gorakhpur–Panihawa–Muzaffarpur route.
Seven passenger trains running on the Raxaul–Narkatiaganj and Muzaffarpur–Narkatiaganj routes of ECR have also been short terminated.
