The Indian Railways has integrated all its helpline numbers into one – 139. This has been done to quicken passenger grievances.

Search TrainsThe number 139 will take over all other customer help numbers except 182. Passengers will now be able to dial 139 from any mobile number, and all queries during their train journey will be addressed on the same.
Now, the number 182 will be in use for the Indian Railways security.
Helpline number 139 will be available in 12 languages. It will have an Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS).
- For security and medical assistance, passengers can press 1
- For queries, travellers can press 2
- For catering complaints, rail passengers can press 3
- General complaints will be answered on number 4 and vigilance-related complaints will be addressed by pressing number 5.
