1000+ Coronavirus Cases In India, Centre asks States to Seal Borders

On Sunday, the countrywide tally of coronavirus cases crossed the 1000 mark and the death toll reached 29. Thankfully, roughly 97 people have recovered as well.

Here’s the latest update from across the country : 

>Maharashtra and Kerala have 215 and 194 confirmed cases respectively. The number of positive cases in Karnataka is 80 and Telangana is at 69.

>Uttar Pradesh has confirmed the total number of cases to be 75. Gujarat and Rajasthan are at 58 and 57 respectively. 

>Confirmed cases for Tamil Nadu remained at 50, while the total number of cases in Delhi is 72. Punjab and Haryana are at 38 and 33 respectively. 

>Jammu and Kashmir has 31 confirmed cases of novel coronavirus and Madhya Pradesh has 33. Andhra Pradesh is at 19 and West Bengal has 19 cases. 

>Ladakh has 13 confirmed cases while both Bihar and Andaman and Nicobar islands have 9 each. The total number of positive COVID – 19 cases in Chandigarh is at 8.

>The centre has asked the states to seal borders to combat the novel coronavirus and prevent it from spreading further in the country.

>The government has also urged the migrant workers to stay where they are and has asked the states to provide them with shelter, food and medical aid.
